This program is part of the educational activities of the
Richland School District Two trough the Plaza Comunitaria program and take place at the faciliy of Manantial de Vida,
Lutheran Church, with the support of Central Carolina Lutheran Center.
The program is mainly aimed to students of Hispanic Latino families from Dent Middle School.
Mission: Students will:
Increase their capacity for autonomy when resolving their tasks. Improve self-esteem and cultural identity. Use their free time in artistic, recreational and cultural activities. Perform sports activities to improve their health and fitness.

Hospice affirms life and views death as a natural process. Hospice existsto support and care for persons in their last stages of incurable illness, helping them live as fully and comfortably as possible and enabling them to have a peaceful death with resolution of loss.
Hospice will neither hasten nor postpone death but will help the patient and family reach a degree of preparation for death that is satisfactory to them, offering appropiate care and support to fulfill individual and family care.
As a community based agency, Amedisys Hospice is committed to providing proper care of the dying patient and his/her family as well as educating the community on Hospice. Hospice care is provided to any patient regardless of their ability/inability to pay.

The Auntie Karen Foundation creates and implements a series of reproducible community outreach programs that will empower, enlighten and educate through the arts.
The core programs benefit youth aged 3 through 22. The pilot programs include participants from area schools, churches, and community organizations. These programs are being documented so that other communities across the globe (South America and Africa) can duplicate them.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia helps children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships. Matches between BIGS (concerned and committed adult volunteers) and LITTLES (age 5-17) are made. The volunteers assist young people in becoming confident, competent and caring individuals; positively impacting their community, home and school relationships. And, hopefully, everyone has a little fun along the way!

Our primary service is to provide a home for children when they are unable to live with their family. We support this with a range of prevention and treatment programs that ensure continuity, are family focused and are community based.
